The Friends of St. Andrew’s Church is a registered charity that aims to:
- Contribute towards the upkeep and maintenance of the fabric of St. Andrew’s Church, a Grade I listed building, together with its hall
- Provide equipment for the church and its buildings
Achievements
Since 1984 The Friends have raised over £74,000 and have contributed to many projects within the church including:
- The Roof Appeal; in order to investigate the possibility of dry rot
- Two new bells for the bell tower
- Rewiring of the church
- Refurbishment of the kitchen
Current Fundraising Activity
At present The Friends are raising money to improve the lighting for the choir stalls.
How do we raise money?
Membership of the Friends is open to all. The annual subscription/donation is just £15. We do appreciate it if donations are GIFT AIDED as then the tax can be reclaimed.
To raise additional money we also hold church open days, concerts, and table top sales.
A newsletter is published three times a year for our members, giving information of our activities.
