Messy Church in Hornchurch
We have had 4 Messy Church sessions at North Street Hall (Hornchurch RM11 1QX) in 2011 and they have proved SO popular that we now have 5 dates planned for 2012. What happens in Messy Church ? Well, as this is aimed at those families who find it hard to get to Church on a Sunday, it all happens between 4.30 and 6.30 (after school) on the last Thursday in the month (except in December). We play games, sing ‘action’ songs, watch a dramatised Bible story with lots of audience interaction and listen to the children’s prayers, plus there are loads of crafts for the young people to make before everybody sits down to a 2 course meal and drinks ! Adults can join in with the craft activities or have a chat and get to know other people – it’s very relaxed. The whole family are welcome and all of this is provided for FREE (although donations are welcomed to help pay for costs).
For your first visit we will need a form completed for each child (medical and contact details etc), after that, you just need to register for the next session you want to attend at least 2 weeks in advance for catering and craft purposes. You can get the forms from The Parish Office, 222 High St, Hornchurch RM12 6QP and the completed forms should be returned there marked for the attention of Arlene Trump.
