Sunday Schools
Sunday school groups are held during the 10.30 morning service at each of our churches.
St. Andrews
JAM
JAM (Jesus and Me) is an infant aged group that meet on the first three Sundays of the month (excluding special services and school holidays). The children usually go to this activity just before the sermon. We share with the children stories, crafts, songs and fellowship all aimed at their level. New children (and leaders!) are always welcome so if you are interested please come along on one of the Sundays and see for yourself what we are all about!
2T
2T is for those in Year 10 upwards, and meet in the Committee Room during the morning service at St Andrew's (except on the 4th Sunday which is a Parade Service). We leave the main service at about 10.45am and we have some interesting discussions on various topics, use DVD clips to apply some of the issues young people face, and see what the Bible has to say to us. We also try our hand at drama sometimes!
For more info contact Pat Miller via the Parish Office.
Trekkers
‘Trekkers’ are a group of young people (school years 7 – 9) who meet during part of the St Andrew’s 10.30am service, except during school holidays and on 4th Sundays (when we stay in for the Parade service). The Trekkers' leaders try to help the young people discover that the Bible and Jesus’ teachings are still relevant to their lives today, to consider moral dilemmas and how we should approach them as Christians, and to give them an opportunity to ask questions and have an open discussion of issues that trouble them.
As well as our Sunday meetings we have annual sponsored walks, cake sales and carol singing events to raise funds for a Kenyan village school where we have already improved the lives of children there by building school rooms and providing desks.
