Awareness Weeks 2021

There are many awareness weeks for a variety of different and worthwhile charities.

For April:

Bowel Cancer

Second biggest UK’s killer cancer. This shouldn’t be the case since it is treatable and curable, especially when diagnosed at an early stage. See Bowel cancer uk website for further details.

MS awareness week 19th – 25th April

MS can be tough, and for many people talking about it can be challenging. Whether you’re opening up to a friend after being newly diagnosed, or finding the right words to describe symptoms to an employer. Further detail at MS Society

 

For May:

Deaf Awareness 4th – 9th May

There’s so much support, information and new technology available to help with hearing loss and deafness. See the Deaf awareness website

 

Coeliac Awareness week 10th – 16th May

Promoting the diagnose and living with this auto immune condition. Further details of this week on #shinealightoncoeliac

 

Stroke Awareness May

Raises vital funds for the stroke association to provide support to sufferers and to get information into the community to prevent stroke and make sure correct action is taken in the event of strokes. Further details from Stroke UK

 

National Share a story
