Charity of the Month for April

The Sue Ryder charity was foundered by Lady Sue Ryder who was a humanitarian. She dedicated her life to the relief of suffering. She started her work in WW11 helping people who had been displaced by the war. After the war ended she widened her scope to support people across the UK and internationally. When she died on 2nd November 2000 she left behind a legacy of charities around the world which continue her work promoting comparssion and the relief of suffering.

The Sue Ryder charity aims to support anyone who is living with a life limiting condition and their families at the most difficult of times. They are there to support people through their grief with their ‘Dying Matters’ campaign being this more to the forefront.

If you would like to donate to the charity either visit their  website or bring a cheque to St Andrews Church clearly written on the back ‘COM Sue Ryder’. We will collate all donations and those made for cards in the entrance area, together at the end of the month and send it to Sue Ryder.
