In 2014 a young conservationist Hendrikus van Hensbergen took a couple of colleagues to a secondary school to promote conservation. He realised that the way forward was to inspire the younger generation.
With the decline of bio diversity in wildlife in the UK this conservation charity is needed like never before. There is now less volunteering in wildlife projects then in 2014 so the aim is to promote and encourage people to engage with the natural world. We have all heard how good this is for our general wellbeing but it is necessary to protect the natural world and support renaturing where appropriate.
Action for Conservation engage with people from secondary school onwards to encourage a livelong understanding, support and respect for the beautiful countryside and rivers we are lucky to have in the UK.
