This year marks the 75th Anniversary of the founding of Christian Aid. In those years they have raised the following amounts to help those in third world counties:
1940 – £80K 2000’s – £500K
They are still fighting for the most vulnerable and gave 1,000 households emergency cash assistance after the explosion in Beirut in the Lebanon.
The current challenge facing many people of the world is not just Covid but also climate change. This is affecting a vast number of countries with unusual storms, floods and drought. Christian Aid is giving much needed assistance to people in these countries, like building a dam in Kenya to provide water for people to live and grow crops. They have been there through 75 years of change with the help and support of donations and churches they have been “Achieving the Extraordinary”.
