BELL RINGING FOR THE TOM WILSON MEMORIAL FUND CHARITY
The bells at St Andrew’s will ring to raise money for the Tom Wilson Memorial Charity which supports raising awareness of Organ Donation.
Tom Wilson died, aged 22, from an accident whilst hockey training, just over 3 years ago. His mother, Lisa, has recently joined the bell ringing team.
The bells will be rung continuously for 2 hours with as many people taking part as possible. The bell ropes will be swapped from person to person in the form of a relay so that the bells are kept ringing for the whole time. Everyone who takes part will make a contribution to the charity.
Refreshments will be on sale in the church throughout the event to add to the proceeds. Anyone wishing to make a contribution is welcome to come along on the evening to listen to the bells and enjoy some tea and cakes. Alternatively, a donation can be given to one of the bell ringers or made through their website here
