Bring life-changing training to communities in need

There are many aspects to the Tearfund organisation and one of them is the above help to communities and people like Chuchu who live in them. Chuchu had lived for years on her husband’s small salary with which they tried to feed four children with little to eat and no thought of education for the children. Chuchu was invited to join Tearfund’s life-changing training through her local church. Through the training she realised the resources God had given her and with much needed financial assistance and access to self help groups, she found the skills and confidence to start her own small business. This enabled her to feed her own family better and today Chuchu is running a small business selling milk. This was all possible with the help of her local church and generous Tearfund supporters. Chuchu is now lifting herself and her family out of poverty.

The difference a small donation can make is amazing – £5 can train a community leader to run a self help group, provide materials to sustain farming projects and help people like Chuchu lift themselves and their families out of poverty. Faith and action go hand in hand and are there for all to see.
